CAPITALS 2006 - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS BY JULY

After beating their last place rank by a solid ten
spots at the 2005 UPA Championships, the Ottawa/Toronto Capitals
are back in force for the 2006 UPA series. The competitive
women’s teams from the two cities are once
again combining forces this fall to form competitive women’s
A and B Northeastern teams. The A team will be lead
by Lotus and Stella captains. The B team is currently seeking
a captain. The A and B teams will practice together
during the week in their own cities, and practice weekends
will allow members from the two cities to play together.
Applications are welcomed from any female player. Players
will be evaluated during Canadian Regionals, No Borders
and Detroit Motown Throwdown. The roster of ~28 players per
team will be announced Friday, August 4,
taking a minimum of seven players each from Stella and
Lotus. Please introduce yourself to the captains as soon
as possible. If you are not attending any of the
aforementioned tournaments please advise the captains
and alternative arrangements will be made.
Expected Commitment Level:
- Attendance at all weekend events (tournies, practice)
is mandatory
--All other availability difficulties will be addressed on
a case-by-case basis
Applications are due July 7. If
selected a deposit of $100 will be required.
